Before you leave you will be given a short sailing instruction to familiarise you with the yachts and its controls.
You will not need a powerboat license.
If you have never sailed on a motor yacht or if you wish to refresh your knowledge, you can book a short sailing course against a fee. On the first morning of your holiday an experienced skipper will join you on board. He sails and manoeuvres with you and teaches you the ropes. Your crew also receives instruction with regard to mooring, tying up, etc.
In the evening there will be some theory lessons. After this instructive sailing course for the entire crew, sailing away on your yacht will not be a problem anymore. You are ready to fully enjoy a wonderful sailing holiday on board of your ‘own’ yacht. We will be happy to send you all the relevant information.
In order to venture out onto the IJsselmeer you will need sufficient experience in this area. For safety and insurance reasons you will need to have our permission to do so. With that permission you will also receive an IJsselmeer package, which contains: lifejackets, up-to-date IJsselmeer charts and a packet of emergency signals.
